The Saint Louis Thoracic Society is a professional society of cardiac, general thoracic and congenital cardiac surgeons practicing in St. Louis and the surrounding region. Its mission is to advance the quality of thoracic surgical care through the presentation and discussion of clinical cases, the exchange of knowledge and experience among surgeons of different institutions, and the cultivation of professional collaboration across the region. The Society meets twice each year.

Two gatherings each year — dinner, a short scientific program, and time to talk. Hosted at a venue around St. Louis each time.
Members bring the difficult, the unusual and the instructive — adult cardiac, general thoracic, and congenital — for open discussion among peers.
Surgeons from across Missouri and Illinois — academic and community programs alike — who know each other's names, practices and referrals.
The society meets twice each year. Members are notified by email when the next meeting is scheduled.
Past programs and the case library are available to members in good standing.
